The royal in-laws are moving in

The Duke of Cambridge is playing the world’s most accommodating son-in-law by making sure the Middletons have a grand suite at Kensington Palace – and says he’s “pleased” with the idea!

Carole Middleton hasn’t been far from her daughter’s side since the birth of her grandson Prince George. Kate’s parents were the first people to visit the royal couple in hospital and have until recently been looking after Kate and George at the comfortable Middleton family home Bucklebury, Berkshire.

The young royals are currently back home in Anglesey, Wales, while their 21-room Kensington Palace apartment is being renovated to the tune of $1.7 million.

Kate has had a large say about the design and layout of the renovations, helping to create a private parental abode, which includes two bedrooms, a bathroom, dining area and a lavish sitting room.

Kate and Wills seem determined to raise George surrounded by close family instead of royal maids and nannies.

The couple have respectfully paved their own way, defying royal traditions, by not hiring an entourage of housekeeping staff and allowing Kate’s dad Michael to take their first family portrait in his garden.

It looks like Carole Middleton will be a constant companion for Kate and George at Kensington Palace when they move in next month.
