It’s no secret that The Queen is quite found of Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry, but she’s really brought out the big guns to help the new couple decorate their new family home in Frogmore Cottage.

The Queen is reportedly giving the expectant parents a piece of art from the Royal Art Collection, the largest collection of privately owned art in the world, with more than one million pieces.

She has invited Harry and Meghan to choose several pieces from her incredible collection to feature in their new Windsor home.

“Meghan and Harry have been told they can choose some art work for Frogmore Cottage,” a palace insider told Vanity Fair.

“They have been presented with a list of paintings that would be available to them and they are making up their minds as to what they would like to hang in their new home.”

Some of the incredible artists in the collection include Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Andy Warhol and Anish Kapoo.

This housewarming gift is a bit of a royal tradition. The Queen also have Prince William and Duchess Catherine a piece from her collection when they got married.

Art is very important to Harry and Meghan. When they were first dating, the Prince reportedly spent a huge sum of money on a painting for Meghan, Everybody Needs Somebody to Love by British artist Van Donna.

This isn’t the first time The Queen has given Meghan a gift from her personal collection.

During Meghan’s first official royal engagement, she went sans-husband with The Queen in June last year and wore a pair of pearl earrings gifted from her grandmother-in-law.

Details have started to emerge about the renovations currently being performed on the royal nursery.

According to Vanity Fair’s royal reporter Katie Nicholl, the couple are opting for a gender-free, modern nursery for their little prince or princess.

“According to sources who are helping with [their new home] renovations, the nursery itself is going to be very modern. Don’t expect to see any baby pink or baby blue,” Nicholl revealed during an interview on Entertainment Tonight.

“Apparently, it’s going to be a monochrome palette — whites and greys, I’m told, will be the colour theme for baby Sussex’s nursery,” the royal correspondent added.

It’s believed the gender-neutral palette is yet another indication that the couple haven’t found out the sex of their baby and are instead waiting for a surprise on the day.

The Sun reports environmentally-conscious Meghan, who likes to stick to a vegan diet during the week, wants to make sure no animals are harmed in the process so she is using odourless, non-toxic, vegan paint for her baby’s room.

“Meghan has been looking long and hard at paints for the Sussex nursery,” an insider tells the outlet.

“Rather than opt for fashionable Farrow and Ball paint in favoured shades such as Wevet, Peignoir and Pavilion Grey and Salmon, the Sussexes are much in favour of The Organic & Natural Paint Co’s Auro range for the nursery.”

The eco paint is packed with immune-boosting properties including eucalyptus and rosemary oils.
