The lowdown on Prince George’s favourite clothes

Prince George has been winning our hearts with his adorable outfits.

And now the woman that has helped Duchess Catherine hand-pick the tot’s trendy threads is chatting all about it.

Amaia Arrieta, of popular label Amaia Kids, has been helping the royal mum-of-two dress the 23-month-old since he was just a few weeks old. Chatting to HOLA.com, the designer recalls meeting Catherine for the first time.

“The first time she came into the shop she was with her mother [Carole Middleton]. It was quite funny because she said, ‘I’ve just had a baby and I’m a little lost. Would you be able to help me,'” Amaia explained.

“Of course we knew who she was! It surprised us to see how normal and natural she was. We helped her like any new mum and I think she liked that because she’s been coming back ever since,” she recalled.

Amaia Arrieta was also the creator behind George’s unbelievably sweet navy outfit that he wore when he met his little sister, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, for the first time at the hospital in May.

This outfit worn by Prince George won heart worldwide and unsurprisingly sold out within hours!

The blonde toddler wore Amaia’s namesake brand, Amaia Kids, rocking a navy blue knitted cardigan and knee-high socks, which sold out hours after the future king was spotted.

Young George sure knows how to make an outfit look good and was most recently spotted wearing a pair of Crocs at the polo, which of course sold out within hours.

We’re sure Princess Charlotte will follow in her big-brother’s fashion-savvy footsteps with Catherine also picking up a few goodies while she was heavily pregnant with Charlotte.

“Three weeks before the Princess was born, she came in and bought three cardigans, three shirts, two pairs of shorts and long socks,” Amaia said.

Amaia also revealed how sweet and charming the Duchess is in real life.

“She’s very charming, very normal and very sweet,” also adding Catherine knows exactly how she wants to dress her kids.

“She usually comes alone and although we show her everything we have in the size she needs, she usually knows what she wants. She’s very decisive but she does let us make suggestions, and sometimes she buys things she wouldn’t have picked up.”

The Duchess’ mum, Carole and younger sister, Pippa both know how much Catherine loves Amaia’s range of clothing.

“Her sister [Pippa Middleton] and her mum have also been back a few times to buy things for their nephew and niece and grandson, but at separate times,” Amaia said.

And it looks like the royals have Hollywood taste, with Amaia citing Victoria Beckham, Kate Hudson, Sienna Miller and Claudia Schiffer all a part of her A-lister clientele.
