Whilst the Olympic Games are about the best of the best athletes coming together and competing for the highest honour in sport, they’re also a huge global event that countless high-profile celebrities and royals attend.
The Paris 2024 Olympics have officially kicked off, and the majority of the world’s royal families have already landed in the French capital for the games.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) hosted a pre-Olympics gala dinner that featured an array of European royals who looked the epitome of class and grace.
Queen Mary of Denmark, Princess Charlene of Monaco and Queen Letizia of Spain were among the guests at the event, and they were photographed outside of the iconic Louvre art gallery in Paris.
Princess Anne also touched down in Paris with Team Great Britain as the Princess Royal is the Honorary President of the British Olympic Association.
It’s likely that many royals will stay in France for the duration of the games and attend various events and races to cheer on their home countries.
