Prince William was absolutely delighted when he became a big brother to Prince Harry, in fact Prince Charles recalls William taking to the new role like a duck to water!
Charles told their groundskeeper, “It’s worth a guinea a minute watching him enjoy himself. He’s been climbing in and out of Harry’s cot.”
William and Harry’s maternal grandfather Earl Spencer knew the boys would be very close.
“It will be lovely for William to have a companion and a playmate, and someone to fight with,” he said. “I’m sure Harry will be a very good chap.”
And those words ring true today! The two Princes are extremely close, both going down the military path and always proving to be each other’s confidant.
