The longest reigning British monarch will celebrate turning the big 9-0 in splendid (and very royal) fashion, with a series of festivities all under way – and we, commoners are all invited.
25,00 tickets went on sale on Tuesday for the May 12-15 2016 four-day extravaganza located in Windsor Castle.
Unsurprisingly, Her Majesty is one popular lady and the event sold out within five hours!
For those lucky 25,00 golden ticket holders, you can expect more than 900 horses and 1,500 people from around the world to take part in the celebrations in Windsor’s Home Park.
Along with the nation, Queen Elizabeth will celebrate her milestone with her family.
The palace has described the occasion as a 90 minute event which will entail:
“The 90-year journey will take us from the excitement of the birth, through to World War Two, her marriage, the coronation and a reign of more than 60 years. The
celebration will use horses, actors, bands and dancers to tell the story.”
No doubt you’ll catch a glimpse of your favourite royals like the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (and fingers crossed their adorable tots, Prince George and Princess Charlotte), Duchess Camilla and Prince Charles and of course everyone’s favourite bearded royal, Prince Harry – who are all expected attend each evening.
While the Queen is set to make a glamorous entrance, attending on the final night.
We can’t wait to see what William and Harry have in store for their Granny.
