The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have returned to the nation they called home as newlyweds, making a special visit to Wales on Tuesday.
Marking St Davidโs Day, the feast day of the patron saint of Wales, Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge made the most of a whirlwind day packed with engagements and appearances.
As usual, the most captivating appearance was Catherineโs, the 40-year-old royal pulling off an elegant wardrobe change halfway through the day.
She arrived at Abergavenny Market dressed in a forest green Sportsmax coat that retails for $1,725, pairing it with a colour coordinated turtleneck sweater and black skinny jeans.
The Duchess of Cambridge also dusted off her faithful $450 Aquatalia Rouge boots, which she has been wearing since her earliest days as a royal in 2011.
She shrugged off her coat as she and William visited Blaenavon Hwb, a community-focused youth centre, where Catherine showed off her cooking skills while chatting with local teens.
Williamโs baking attempts werenโt quite as successful as his wifeโs, the future king joking: โIโm under a lot of pressure here.
โDo not judge my cooking, this could go horribly wrong. Itโs not Great British Bake Off. Whereโs Mary [Berry] when you need her?โ
He also spoke with youth who frequent the community centre, at which point one girl told him she comes by to let off steam and rant with her peers, to which William responded: โEveryone needs to rant.โ
The couple then headed to a local farm where they spent time with farmers and some of the animals they tend, including a group of charming goats.
Catherine pulled off a quick wardrobe change for the more hands-on engagement, adopting a more casual outfit that included a recycled Seeland khaki jacket sheโs been seen in before.
She kept her black jeans on but swapped out her heeled boots for a sturdy pair of Blundstones, which retail for just over $310.
Wrapping a red scarf around her neck for a pop of colour, she and William spent time talking with the Welsh locals who run Pant Farm and interacting with the goats.
While there William shared a delightful detail about his and Catherineโs son, Prince George, who accompanied his parents to an England v Wales rugby match over the weekend.
While chatting with a local Welsh farmer, the Duke commented on the fact that he supports Wales while his wife is the royal patron of the English rugby team.
He joked that itโs a โgood family rivalryโ, and when the farmer suggested William encourage son George to come over to the Welsh side, he replied: โDonโt worry, heโs already there.โ

It was a special visit for the royals, who called Wales home for several years at the start of their marriage, renting a home in Anglesey.
They lived in the four-bedroom house from 2011 until 2013, when they welcomed George and later moved to Kensington Palace.
At the time, William said of Wales: โThis island has been our first home together, and it will always be an immensely special place for us both.
โCatherine and I look forward to returning again and again over the coming years with our family.โ
