In a new interview, the father-of-two was candid about the juggling act most parents face, especially when you have more than one child under the age of two!
“It is fantastic having a lovely little family and I am so thrilled,” he said, before praising his wife.
“Catherine has been doing an amazing job as a mother and I’m very proud of her.”
From the snaps we’ve seen in recent weeks it’s obvious that Catherine is a very hands-on mum while her royal husband confirmed our suspicions that little George is an adorable handful and his little sister, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, is the exact opposite!
The Cambridges are all smiles.
“It has been fantastic and she [Charlotte] has been a little joy of heaven. But at the same time it is more responsibility, looking after two little ones, especially when George is around. He’s a little monkey.”
In a tender moment the Duke of Cambridge also admitted, like most parents, it is difficult to leave home in the mornings and say goodbye to his wife and children.
Wills, 33 is back in the cockpit as he kicked off his first shift on Monday with the East Anglian Air Ambulance, and despite being second-in-line for the throne he had a bright and early 7am start at Cambridge Airport with his role covering the areas of Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
“It’s my first day and I’m feeling the nerves,” he told reporters. “I’m really looking forward to getting started. It’s been a lot of effort and patience in training, but we’re here now and I’m looking forward to doing the job.”
Prince William’s first day on the job was exciting and nerve-racking for the royal.
The royal had to complete a civilian pilot course followed by a 999-response training course in order to take up his new role and there was no time to ease into it with his first call-out having happened just over two hours into the job at 9:20am.
“Nothing ever prepares you that well for what you are going to see,” he said.
Like his younger brother Harry, William wants to do everything he can to continue helping out his community and serving his country – he is also donating his salary to the East Anglian Air Ambulance charity.
“I feel doing a job like this really helps with grounding the core of what I am trying to become,” he said, before adding: “Just trying to be a good guy, trying to do what you can, trying be a decent individual, thoughtful – qualities in people that you would want to be associated with.”
The 33-year-old royal took six-weeks off to be with his family after the birth of his daughter, and it looks like the future king is already in the full swing of things.

Joining his family, granny, Queen Elizabeth II, The Countess of Wessex, Earl of Wessex, Duke of Edinburgh, Duke of York and Duke of Kent, they celebrated the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
Standing outside on the Buckingham Palace balcony they watched a flypast of historic aircrafts over the capital.
Prince William will not only follow his granny’s footsteps as the future Sovereign of the Commonwealth, he may take a page out of her family book. The father-of-two was asked if he and Catherine, 33, would expand their family.
Smiling, he said, “We’ve only just had the second one. You never know what is going to happen in the future.”
