The Duke of Cambridge appeared to be enjoying himself during the royal visit to Malta on the weekend as he played table football and Xbox with some young children.

Prince William even jokingly offered a child care student a position looking after his son and third in line to the throne, Prince George.

People magazine reported that William, 32, had a conversation with Janet Desira, 17, about 14-month-old George.

“You can come and do some babysitting for me,” William reportedly said. “He’s busy. They’re very hectic at that age.”

The Duke of Cambridge replaced his wife after Kate was forced to withdraw from the visit due to Hyperemesis Gravidarum.

William was also treated to a ride in a traditional Maltese boat for a tour of the Grand Harbour and attended a Catholic mass at St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta.

The trip was made on behalf of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, to mark 50 years since the country gained independence.
