The day’s festivities coincide with Harry’s return to royal duties following his three-month visit to Africa, where he’ll attend a Battle of Britain 75th anniversary flypast.
Kensington Palace confirmed the news in a series of tweets:
“Prince Harry to join @endeavourfund scholars during a #BoB75 Anniversary flypast @boultbeeacademy on 15 Sep.”
“Flypast will bring more BoB aircraft together since #WW2, as a show of thanks from this generation to ‘The Few'”.
The Prince, who has spent the summer carrying out conservation projects in Southern Africa, will join veterans and wounded servicemen supported by his Endeavour Fund in a fly-past to mark the 75th anniversary of victory in the historic Battle of Britain.
Harry, who was in the military for 10 years will no doubt relish in the event. In fact just last year Harry got the chance to pilot a Spitfire.
Harry has described working with animals as his “dream job”. He was all smiles during his time at the African Conservation Experience’s Khulula Care for Wild where he got the chance to hang out with orphaned rhinos.
Harry will have a welcomed return from his wildlife venture in Africa, having missed many big milestones like his niece’s Princess Charlotte’s christening.
In fact the good-natured royal joked that he was “a bad uncle” for not being there for his niece and nephew.
We imagine the adorable tots will be ecstatic to spend some quality time with their humanitarian and adventurous uncle!
