The fourth in line to the throne spoke about his big secret to support World AIDS Day as part of Sentebale’s #FeelNoShame campaign, which aims to reduce the stigma associated with HIV.

The 30-year-old said he gets “incredibly nervous” before speaking to crowds.

It may come as a surprise to many as Harry seems calm and relaxed when talking at public and official royal engagements. The condition is called glossophobia. Some experts estimate that as much as 75 per cent of the population has some level of it.

“My secret is, believe it or not, I get incredibly nervous before public speaking no matter how big the crowd or the audience and despite the fact that I laugh and joke all the time I get incredibly nervous, if not anxious actually, before going into rooms full of people when I’m wearing a suit,” Prince Harry said.

“Now that I’ve confessed that, I’ll probably be even more worried that people are looking at me.”
