He’s decided to extend his trip by another week to help rebuild a school damaged by the natural disaster.

Talking about his plans to work on the earthquake relief project, Prince Harry said: “The people I have met and the beauty of this country make it very hard to leave. Thankfully however, I’m not leaving just yet.”

“I’m so grateful to have this opportunity at the end of my official tour to do my small bit to help.”

The 31-year-old will be camping with a group of volunteers in a remote village in central Nepal.

While in the country, he visited a burn unit of a children’s hospital in Kathmandu, playing with the children, and took part in the ancient Hindu Holi festival – the festival of colours. He made stops at several UK-funded disaster relief operations and refugee camps.

He also went to the opening of the Nepal Girl Summit, delivering an inspiring speech about women’s rights, vowing that he will help overcome “the many obstacles between girls and the opportunities they deserve.”
