Princess Charlotte and Prince George are certainly keeping their parents busy!

This week, The Duchess of Cambridge revealed her two children’s hobbies while she spoke to triple-gold medallist Natasha Baker at reception for Olympic and Paralympic competitors at Buckingham Palace.

“I asked her how the children were and she said Charlotte is really enjoying her riding which is great to hear and I said we may see her here on a line-up in 20 years time,” said Natasha, before also explaining, “[Prince] George really enjoyed the fencing.”

“She emphasised that Charlotte has this passion about horses, and although she doesn’t echo it, she’ll do her best to champion and encourage it,” Natasha mused.

Indeed, the British Royal Family’s passion for horses spans across generations with Queen Elizabeth, 90, still riding to this day.

The first ever horse The Queen received was a Shetland Pony called Peggy at the tender age of four from her grandfather, King George V. She also breeds competitive thoroughbreds.

Meanwhile, The Queen’s granddaughter Zara Phillips is also an avid horse rider and has competed at the Olympics for equestrian.

But it’s not just horses Princess Charlotte loves. Earlier in the week, The Duke of Cambridge confirmed his daughter has started to play soccer.

“Charlotte is the one who shows more aptitude [for football],” Prince William said during an engagement at the National Football Museum in Manchester.

“George is sort of getting into it slowly, but Charlotte is showing more aptitude,” he revealed to the England women’s team captain, Steph Houghton, and her teammate Jill Scott, adding: “They’re great.”
