Prince Albert II of Monaco has tested positive for Coronavirus, the Palace has announced.

It is understood that the Princeโ€™s condition is โ€œnot worrying at allโ€, but there are some concerns over who the Prince has been in contact with recently.

In a report from CNN, it was confirmed the 62-year-old monarch underwent a test earlier this week to see if he had contracted the virus.

Since returning the confirmed result, the Prince has been isolating himself, while still working and remaining in contact with his team.

But while he is now staying away from other humans who could contract the virus, itโ€™s important to note who he has been in contact with over the past week while he could have been carrying the virus unknowingly.

The European royal was recently in contact with Prince Charles, 71, after they both attended an event for WaterAid last week.

According to Royal Central, the pair shared a table alongside government representatives, community members and business leaders.

The publication notes that the pair are believed to have been in โ€œclose proximityโ€ to each other, which will no doubt cause some concern for the British royal and his Palace staff.

That said, thereโ€™s no confirmation as to whether the Prince has contracted the virus just yet โ€“ and he has been taking precautionary measures to lower his risk.

Earlier this month, the Prince was one of the first royals to tackle a brand new Palace protocol โ€“ no more shaking hands.

The Queenโ€™s eldest son gave it a good go, ensuring that he didnโ€™t touch or shake hands with anyone, instead presenting people with the namaste greeting.

At one point caught on camera, Charles almost forgot himself as he stepped out of a car to greet a guest at the Princesโ€™ Trust Awards.

Reaching his hand out, he quickly realised his mistake and morphed the gesture into a namaste.

There has been no word yet from the Palace as to whether any of the British royals have been tested for Coronavirus, however it is highly likely Charles has been tested in light of Prince Albertโ€™s development.

We hope Prince Albert makes a quick recovery, and that Charles and the rest of the royals stay well!
