Pippa Middleton set to join NBC as a correspondent

The Duchess of Cambridge's sister, Pippa Middleton, is reportedly in talks to join NBC's Today show as a correspondent.

The 31-year-old, who attracted worldwide attention at her older sister’s wedding to Prince William in 2011, was apparently approached by the network’s management following her interview with NBC host Matt Lauer earlier this year, which was a ratings hit.

“Today has been doing a test piece with Pippa in Utah, and if it works out well – and it looks like it will – they will hire her as a correspondent,” a source told Page Six.

Pippa, who is currently dating Nico Jackson, published her party planning book Celebrate in 2012 and has written columns for The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph in the UK, covering lifestyle topics from food to flowers.

Although she has revealed that fame presented her with some “amazing opportunities”, it also had a negative side.

“I think people feel they can say something about you online or on a web page when they would never say it to your face but they think that’s okay. It’s been difficult,” she said in the interview with NBC.
