When he was just eight-months-old royal only had eyes for Kate at his first public engagement, cuddling her and stroking her hair adoringly as proud father William looked on.
The genuine show of affection between mum and baby was heart-warming to see and had onlookers comparing Kate to her mother-in-law Princess Diana, who was a famously hands-on parent.
