We have no doubt Mike Tindall’s love story with Zara Tindall is one for the ages, but his special bond with his mother-in-law Princess Anne is the story we need to hear.

Mike married the Queen’s granddaughter and Princess Anne’s only daughter, Zara in 2011 and together they have three beautiful children: Mia, Lena and Lucas.

With more than ten years of marriage, there are bound to be some shocking moments and Mike appears to love confessing them.

According to News of the World, Princess Anne asked her son-in-law-to-be to consider a nose job after he broke his nose eight times during his 12-years as a professional English rugby player.

“Princess Anne has asked me if I’d have the surgery. She’s a bit worried about how the wedding photos might turn out!” he said.

They both bonded over their love for sports.

“It was a light-hearted, jokey comment. It wasn’t a big deal. Look at my nose – can you blame her?”

The two have bonded over their love for sport as Princess Anne adores the Scottish rugby team and has rarely missed a home match. She has even travelled internationally to support her team.

During a recent episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Mike confessed yet another embarrassing moment committed in front of Princess Anne.

Mike said while he loves suits, his “over-exaggerated dancing” at weddings has resulted in plenty of ripped formal attire.

“I had a bit of a 30th birthday, it was a disco ’70s-themed one,” he said.

“I was dancing on the dance floor. I had like flares on, full outfit, but it was quite tight. Nothing ever fits a rugby player’s bum and legs. So I was dancing with my mother-in-law, and I did a ‘slut drop‘ in front of my mother-in-law.”

“Ripped my trousers, straight in front of her,” Mike said. “It happened to be that the boxers that I had on at that time said ‘nibble my nuts.’ “

However, Princess Anne gave a quick-witted response: “As I’ve turned round, she’s gone, ‘I’d rather not’.”
