It’s been over a fortnight since the London attacks when Khalid Masood senselessly mowed down civilians on Westminster Bridge in London and fatally stabbed a police officer near the Houses of Parliament.
Prince William, Duchess Catherine and Prince Harry attended a memorial for victims of the London attacks which took place at Westminster Abbey.

Around 1,800 people attended the Service of Hope, which honoured those injured and killed in the murder spree.
Prince William laid a beautiful wreath which read: “In memory of the innocent lives; lost to us all on the 22nd March 2017.”

Among those in attendance was American tourist Melissa Payne Cochran, who lost her husband in the attacks.

She told the BBC: “‘I’m extremely proud of him and very happy that the world now knows what a wonderful man he was. He would probably hate all the publicity. He was a very private man. He was kind, generous and sweet and the love of my life.
“Fortunately I have a wonderful family and am able to take their strength and recover. Kurt would have wanted me to keep going.”

The royals have done their country proud, rallying together to support those affected.
Just a day after the attack, Kate spoke at a mental health charity event: “I know you would all want to join me in sending our thoughts and prayers to all those sadly affected by yesterday’s terrible attack in Westminster,” she said. “We will be thinking of all the families as we discuss the important issues we’re here to talk about.”
Prince Charles visited injured victims in King’s College Hospital in Southwark and Prince William met hospital staff and paramedics.
The Queen also released a statement of her own following the rampage:
“My thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathy are with all those who have been affected by yesterday’s awful violence,” her statement read. “I know I speak for everyone in expressing my enduring thanks and admiration for the members of the Metropolitan Police Service and all who work so selflessly to help and protect others.”
