Duchess Catherine has a whole wardrobe full of glorious dresses, but her latest one might be one of her most royally perfect.

On Thursday, the 39-year-old wrapped up her tour of Scotland with a bang – a very pink one at that.

After a morning of outdoor activities in Edinburgh, the Duchess got ready for a very special engagement as part of her and husband William’s current royal tour of Scotland.

This particular engagement, held at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, was her most special of all.

The royal met with a young girl, Mila Sneddon, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy.

Kate and Mila share a poignant connection – the Duchess’ Hold Still photography project included an image of Mila during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Finally, the pair united in Scotland on Thursday – and as soon as we saw five-year-old Mila’s sweet outfit, it was clear this was no ordinary royal meet-and-greet.

Walking into the room, Kate took one look at Mila, who wore a matching pink dress and told her: “Hi Mila, look at you! I want to give you a big squeezy cuddle, it’s so nice to meet you in person.”

Per HELLO!, the Duchess also added: “I love your dress, can you do a little twirl – and your shoes.”

Mila even wore a crown for her royal encounter.

The moment was one of Catherine’s most memorable – not least because of her own stunning pink dress, which was designed by British label ME+EM.

The dress featured a sheer bodice with a button-up front and a pink belt at the waist. Shades of dark and lighter pinks popped in the historic residence – the Queen’s official home when she stays in Scotland.

Kate’s dress is worth over $800, which may be a little out of our price range – but lucky for Australians, we’ve got plenty of similar, affordable styles available at the click of a button.
