How William and Harry will mark 20 years since Diana’s death

William and Harry have something very special planned for the 20th anniversary of their beloved mum’s death.

Next year is 20 years since Diana’s tragic death in a Paris car crash and William and Harry’s plans to mark the solemn occasion are already underway.

Hello! magazine reports the Princes are backing a proposal for a new memorial garden to be built at Kensington Palace, close to the existing memorial garden.

Historic Royals Palaces are already recruiting a team to design and build the new site, with job advertisements appearing across the UK in the past few days.

The news comes days after Harry gave a touching interview about how his mother’s death changed his life.

“I’m sure she’s longing for me to have kids so she can be a grandmother again,” he said. “I hope that everything we do privately and officially, that it makes her proud.

“I think losing your mother at such a young age does end up shaping your life massively. Of course, it does, and now I find myself trying to be there and give advice to other people who are in similar positions.

“We will do everything we can to make sure that she’s never forgotten and carry on all the special gifts, as such, that she had and that she portrayed while she was alive.”
