Harry pleased that "the pressure's off" him now

As thrilled as Prince Harry is with his new nephew, he’s also happy that the arrival of Prince George has taken some of the pressure off him to have his own baby.

Speaking at the opening of a new Royal Navy base over the weekend, Harry told the crowds how pleased Prince Charles is with the new addition to the family.

“My father is over the moon to be a grandfather,” he said.

When one guest asked if he’s now rushing to have children of his own, he said that he doesn’t have to, now that Charles has his first grandchild.

“No, he’s got one [grandchild] now it will be fine. The pressure’s off now.”

The prince wore military uniform and his AAC beret to the opening, and was his usual cheeky self. When meeting with a group of dignitaries who had waited in windy weather to greet him, he quipped, “Typical British, we complain when it’s too hot and we complain when it’s too cold.”

And while he may not be rushing to have his own right away, Harry proved how good he is with children when one six-year-old gave him a drawing he had made. The picture showed the two of them on a naval ship, with the message, “Dear Harry, you’re fantastic,” to which the prince commented: “It looks like you’re driving!”

Prince Harry was then presented with a Commando dagger to cut the ribbon and open the centre and, joking about a possible re-deployment to Afghanistan, said he could use the knife to “fend off the Taliban for next time.”
