As the future King of England celebrates his 33rd birthday on June 21, we look back at his remarkable life.

Loving father, accomplished pilot, doting husband and second in line to the British throne.

While there’s no denying Prince William the Duke of Cambridge has an enormous responsibility ahead of him, the 34-year-old has always managed to keep his head on his shoulders and remain humble.

Wills’ down-to-earth reputation has won him a legion of fans, and no one is more fond of him than his granny, The Queen.

Because of this, the Duke of Cambridge is determined to honour his grandmother if he ever finds himself stepping up as King. “I take each step at it comes and it’s good when you’ve got good examples to follow. And hopefully I can try and do her some sort of justice.”

But for now, the lovable royal is focused on being a doting dad to Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Proud parents Charles and Diana introduce William Arthur Philip Louis to the world in 1982.

Oh hey there, big blue eyes. William was the most precious baby.

Sibling love! “I’m probably a bit of a cheeky grandson like my brother as well. We both tend to take the mickey a bit much.”

William and Harry play about in matching ensembles.

“Life is altered as you know it, and not a day goes past without you thinking about the one you have lost,” he has said of losing his mother, Princess Diana.

“When I was younger, my parents used to always slap my hand if I was picking my nose… I sort of understood that when I was around her I needed to be a little bit more low key and little bit more polite,” the British lad explains of learning to be well-mannered around his granny, The Queen.

Both William and Harry attended the Minors Nursery School in west London.

Cheeky chappies! The brothers share a very close bond.

So young! William and Kate share a hug on their graduation day at St Andrews University.

The gorgeous couple beam with excitement as they announce their engagement in 2010.

In July 2013, the Cambridge clan expanded with the arrival of William and Kate’s first son.

Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge has since become the apple of William and Kate’s eye.

“We go away with wonderful memories, and George goes away with his cuddly wombat, which he has taken to chewing so lovingly,” Wills said during his tour Down Under.

Harry, William and Kate share a laugh.

“It’s all it’s cracked up to be. No major arguments or domestics at the moment. It’s all going well,” Wills reveals of married life.

During their tour of Oz, Wills and Kate got behind the decks to DJ. Yep, this royal really isn’t above doing anything!

The pair aren’t afraid to act like muggles, that’s for sure.

“As you might have gathered, Catherine and I have recently become proud parents — of a baby who has a voice to match any lion’s roar!,” he quipped about his adored son.

The future King of England really is one devoted father!

But like any new parent, it was a learning curve. “At the moment, bath time is quite painful, but hopefully donning a snorkel and mask might calm him down,” Wills joked when George was a newborn.

“I only hope my brother knows how expensive my baby sitting charges are,” uncle Harry has joked.

Among his many accomplishments, William is a skillful pilot who has worked with the RAF Search and Rescue Force.

“I’m always open for people saying I’m wrong because most of the time I am,” Wills reveals.

He definitely doesn’t take himself too seriously and is always up for a good time!

Which includes rubbing shoulders with a variety of locals in various countries around the world.

Happy birthday to the handsome prince!
