Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge will today take a trip to Uluru – 31 years after Prince Charles and Princess Diana visited the famous natural wonder.
The Duke of Cambridge was only a baby when he stepped out with his parents during their visit to the red centre in 1983. The Prince and Princess of Wales climbed Uluru, spoke to school children from the Alice Springs School of the Air and visited Tennant Creek during their four-day tour of Central Australia.
William and Kate will present graduation certificates to students of the National Indigenous Training Academy before being welcomed to the country at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre.
Following afternoon tea, the Duke and Duchess will visit Uluru, taking a short walk along its base.
Prince George, who is nine-months-old today, remains in Canberra with his nanny.
