It was the fairy-tale that captured the hearts of Australians – the girl from Tassie who became European royalty.
And now, the tale is being brought to our screens.
Mary: The Making of A Princess, a telemovie based on Mary’s whirlwind real-life romance and subsequent marriage to Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, is set to air next month.
And The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Frederik himself will even make a cameo!
“When Emma [Hamilton, who plays Princess Mary] was filming some scenes in Copenhagen, there was a scene, that if you look really closely, you’ll see Prince Frederik. He drove past in his car while they had the cameras rolling,” the prince’s on screen alter ego Ryan O’Kane said.
