Royals expert James Whitaker says the palace is concerned about Katie’s dramatic weight loss as the big day nears.
While the daring see-through panel that allowed guests a good look at her cleavage may have turned heads, it was Kate Middleton’s whippet-thin figure that caused the biggest stir at a recent wedding.
The princess-in-waiting revealed an even slimmer silhouette than usual when she attended the nuptials of Harry Aubrey-Fletcher and Louise Stourton at St Andrew’s Church in Aldborough on January 8.
Harry is one of Prince William’s oldest friends, and the bride is from one of the UK’s most aristocratic families, but Kate well and truly stole their thunder as observers noted her dramatic weight loss.
Panic buttons are yet to be pressed, but senior courtiers at Buckingham Palace tell Woman’s Day they are anxious about how many kilos Kate, 29, has shed in the short time since the announcement of her engagement to William in November.
One keen palace observer notes, “Catherine has got to be careful. She is beginning to look angular with clothes just hanging on her.”
