It was confirmed by ITV this morning that the long-awaited documentary to mark the momentous occasion of the Queen’s 90th birthday entitled The Queen at Ninety, is set to release on Sunday the 27th of March at 8pm London time.

The two-hour feature film will include interviews from many of her majesty’s closest family members, including her son Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the oh-so-dashing Prince Harry, and of course, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The fitting occasion will be Catherine’s first ever interview as a royal.

Nick Kent, an executive producer on the doco said to BBC: “We’ve been fortunate to have the participation of so many members of the Royal Family to mark this historic milestone in the life of the Queen,”

“It’s a remarkable story of an extraordinary life which in so many ways reflects the changing face of the nation.”

Duchess Catherine will give her first ever interview as a royal for the momentous occasion.

The two-hour programme will tell her majesty’s royal story, from her April birth in 1926 to her 1953 coronation, along with the highlights of her reign which spans over 60 good years.

Also featured in the TV movie will be exclusive footage from the most comprehensive international film archives, for a never before seen look into her majestic life.

But the film is just one of the many special events planned to celebrate this milestone birthday.
