Nothing will spoil her grandson’s special day!
With mere days to go until Harry and Meghan’s wedding, the Queen has agreed to the banning of any drones or low-flying aircrafts over Windsor Castle on Saturday, whether during the cermony or into the evening festivities. So if you’re thinking of flying a little something overhead to get a glimpse of the happy couple plus their guests and well-wishers, you’ll have the Thames Valley Police to answer to.
London’s Heathrow Aiport is just 18km from Queen’s Windsor residence, so the ban won’t affect any big, commercial flights seeing as they’re way out of the exclusion zone.

According to The Daily Mail, a source from Windsor Castle says, “The Queen was notified that an order was being sought to prevent drones flying over Windsor Castle on the wedding day and she agreed to it.
“They are a nuisance and intrusive and Thames Valley Police are asking the local people to report a drone if it is in the air or if they see somebody preparing to take one off.
“They would be an irritation and now the CAA has officially banned them it is hopefully one less headache the security services will have to deal with on the wedding day itself.
“There will be more than enough cameras on the royal couple without these flying unauthorised eyes-in-the-sky.”
Word to the wise though, if you’re caught you could face prosecution. So is it really worth it for one grainy out-of-focus pic?
The last thing we want is a drone falling out of the sky and hitting someone after all!
