Another day, another royal baby-less wait outside the steps of the Lindo Wing. As April ticks over into its 29th day (mid-to-end of April, huh Kate?!), there is still no sign of our highly anticipated blue-blooded babe. But just because there hasn’t been any labour announcements from Kate and Wills’ camp, doesn’t mean the press or the loyalists are slowing down – royal baby paraphernalia, rumours and … baked treats are still afoot. Want the latest royal baby goss? Read on…
- Kate and Wills have pushed the Princess rumours into overdrive and thanked the Lindo Loyalists with one stone – or box of pastries. Representatives of Kate and Wills handed out boxes of baked goods yesterday afternoon to those waited outside the hospital, and sent everybody into a flurry when they noticed that the boxes were tied with a pink ribbon. A hint, a clue, or an innocent bit of haberdashery? We won’t know until we know!
- Pretty much eliminating the chance of a birth yesterday, Kate was spotted at Buckingham Palace picking Prince George up from the pool. The one-year-old who was swimming with nanny, Maria, was picked up by his mum in her Range Rover and driven back to Kensington.
- In bizarre baby product news, the Licktators Ice Cream Company has released a limited edition breast milk ice cream in celebration of Royal Baby #2. The tubs come branded with ‘Princess’ and ‘Prince’ in pink and blue and have an image of Duchess Kate on them.
- After landing in Perth today, Prince Harry pretty much confirmed that he will not be present when Kate (finally) pops. The Prince, who is in Australia for official military duties, was hoping to be in town for the birth when he flew back to London for two days, but it looks like he missed the boat. Harry has scheduled visits in Perth and in Sydney in April and May, and as yet, it’s uncertain when he will get back to see his new niece or nephew.
