William and Kate’s baby is directly descended from Queen Elizabeth II but it will also be related to hip-hop royalty.
New research has revealed the Prince or Princess of Cambridge and Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy will be distant relatives.
Thanks to Blue Ivy’s ancient links to French royalty, and therefore the British royal family, the tots will be 23rd cousins twice-removed.
The royal baby will also have the (much diluted) blood of Hollywood royalty running through its veins.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s three kids will be 11th cousins, Celine Dion’s three children will be 26th cousins thrice-removed and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s kids will be 27th cousins.
The baby will also be related to Uma Thurman, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Hilary Duff.
Researchers from genealogy company findmypast.co.uk looked into the family trees of the Queen, the Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Diana to uncover their relationships to various celebrities.
The royal baby is due on Saturday and London is on high alert, with photographers camped out outside the hospital where Kate will give birth and a helicopter on standby to whisk William to his wife’s side.
