It’s been little over four weeks since the world was introduced to Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge.
And now, her proud parents have released four new family portraits featuring their precious daughter which shows just how much she’s grown since she was born at St. Mary’s Hospital in London on May 2.
Doing away with protocol, the stunning photographs, which were unveiled via Kensington Palace’s Twitter account, were taken by Catherine herself in mid-May at their Anmer Hall residence in Norfolk. Once again showing a softer, more down-to-earth side of this very modern Royal family.
The beautiful shots show big brother George gazing lovingly at his new sister as he cradles her. The pair look adorable in matching white outfits – George smart and dapper in a pair of knee-high baby blue socks, matching shorts and a crisp white shirt with a blue outline, while one-month-old Charlotte is rugged up in a knitted jumper and cosy pants.
Later, the doting Prince smiles at the camera proudly before placing a gentle kiss on his fair haired sister’s cheek – a sign of a strong bond already formed between these two siblings.
Just like with their first son Prince George, the heart-melting images were released via Kensington Palace with an official statement.
The statement read: “We’re delighted to share the first photo of Prince George with his little sister Princess Charlotte. The photo of Prince George and Princess Charlotte was taken by The Duchess of Cambridge in mid-May.”
Before adding: “Prince George and Princess Charlotte together at home #WelcomeToTheFamiy.”
It’s been a big week of royal news after the announcement Princess Charlotte will be christened next month.
The Palace took to Twitter on Friday to confirm the fourth in the to the throne will be christened on Sunday, July 5 at the idyllic St Mary Magdalene Church on the Queen’s Sandringham Estate.
In a series of tweets, they explained: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to announce the christening of Princess Charlotte will take place on Sunday 5th July.”
Before adding: “Princess Charlotte will be christened by The Archbishop of Canterbury @JustinWelby at St Mary Magdalene Church in #Sandringham.”
Since welcoming their second child, the family of four have been nesting at their country residence at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, England.
Princess Charlotte and her big brother George will be spending most of the summer months at the country home.
Anmer Hall was presented as a gift by William’s Grandmother, the Queen and the residence boasts 10 bedrooms, a conservatory a large swimming pool and plenty of privacy.
It underwent a $2.5 million dollar refurbishment in 2013, paid for entirely by private royal funds to ensure the Duke and Duchess have a suitable home to raise their young family.
Meanwhile during a recent appearance at the English Women’s Football club, Prince William lifted the lid on how he was finding life with two children.
The royal dad confessed to the team captain, Steph Houghton, that little Princess Charlotte has been keeping him up all night while Prince George won’t stop running around.
“He said George is very lively, and Princess Charlotte has been keeping him up all night, giving him a few sleepless nights. But he said he was just happy to have them both here,” Steph explained.
And while this scene is a million miles away from the latest snaps the Cambridge clan have shared, we can definitely picture these two tykes keeping their parents on their toes!
