The Chelsea Flower Show has been attended by our favourite royals for decades, but it was the Queen who stole the show at this year’s event.
Arriving in a buggy due to her ongoing mobility issues, the 96-year-old monarch was all smiles in a bright pink ensemble and one of her other royal relatives decided to opt for the same hue too.
The Queen’s youngest son Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex joined the Queen at the 2022 show, and Sophie perfectly coordinated with her mother-in-law.
Dressed in a Gabriela Hearst pink pantsuit, the jacket of which retails at £1741 (AU$3085) the Countess of Wessex looked as chic as ever as she strolled through the gardens and literally stopped to smell the roses.
She accessorised her look with a Sophie Habsburg handbag and Penelope Chilver ‘Tango’ heels whilst her blonde locks were swept back into a low bun.
Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi were also in attendance, but they didn’t adhere to the unofficial pink dress code.
The eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson opted for a blue and white Reformation dress with her hair styled half-up, half-down and accessorised with a black ribbon.
Beatrice and Edo, who married in 2020 in the midst of the pandemic, looked as in love as ever and seemed to be enjoying a brief moment away from their children Wolfie and Sienna.
This year’s Chelsea Flower Show is the first since 2019 since it was cancelled in 2020 and postponed in 2021 due to the Covid pandemic.
Along with Prince Edward, the Countess of Wessex, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, the Queen was joined by The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and Princess Alexandra.
