Queen Máxima of the Netherlands might not make as many headlines as her royal counterparts across the pond, like Duchess Catherine or Duchess Meghan, but the wife of King Willem-Alexander is no less stylish nor fabulous than her English counterparts.
The 49-year-old was photographed this week casually riding her bike to an official event looking effortlessly chic.
Máxima wore a fantastic bright yellow colour from head-to-toe, her outfit featuring a button-down blouse, slim-fitting trousers and matching hoop earrings.
She teamed her look with simple nude flats and fun glasses during her ride.
She was snapped ahead of her visit to the Kunstmuseum Den Haag art museum in The Hague, Netherlands.
The museum was celebrating its re-opening, after closing for several weeks due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Máxima shares three children with her husband Willem-Alexander – Princess Catharina-Amalia, Princess Alexia Juliana and Princess Ariane.
The couple first met in 1999, but Willem kept his identity as a Prince a secret on their first date, introducing himself only as “Alexander”.
The pair encountered some controversy thanks to Máxima’s father, who was a cabinet minister involved in Argentina’s most recent dictatorship, and was thus banned from attending the couple’s wedding in 2002.
But despite those hurdles, Willem-Alexander has only wonderful things to say about his wife.
“I fell in love with this Maxima: spontaneous, interesting, nice,” he has previously said.
“It wasn’t always, nor will it be easy, but I hope that she stays the same person as she is now.”
