Even if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decide not to attend the Queen’s jubilee celebrations next month, the monarch of 70 years will not be without star power.

A-list celebrities are jumping at the chance to feature in the Britain-wide celebrations, with UK television station ITV announcing massive names who will join their broadcast from Windsor Castle.

According to The Times, Hollywood star Tom Cruise was an “immediate yes” when he was approached to be involved, alongside Helen Mirren, Joan Collins and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

“Tom’s a big fan of the Queen so it was a very easy pitch… He’ll play a significant role in the show, before retiring to the royal box to watch the rest of the event with his plus-one,” says the newspaper’s source.

Meanwhile, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, has teamed up with The Great British Bake Off icon Mary Berry to search for the best “Platinum Pudding” recipe, with a winner being unveiled on the BBC.

“Following in the footsteps of the Coronation Chicken and the Victoria Sponge, this winning recipe will go down in history and become part of the British food story,” read a release about the show, titled The Jubilee Pudding: 70 Years In The Baking.

The Queen has shaken hands with many celebrities over the years. And some moments have gone down in history, like when she met with The Spice Girls.

But even with so many big names joining the celebrations, the Queen is said to be most excited about three of her great-grandchildrens’ appearances, with Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four, joining in for the Buckingham Palace balcony flyover and the Trooping the Colour parade, as well as whispers that the trio will make an appearance on a TV segment celebrating their beloved Gan-Gan.

Palace insiders hint that Kate and William won’t confirm their appearances until the day, mainly due to how unpredictable children can be.

“Having them there will be so special for the Queen – and it’ll bring back incredible memories for William, who rode along with Princess Diana and the Queen Mum in the parade when he was Louis’ age.”
