One of Queen Elizabeth’s beloved pet corgis has sadly passed away.
Holly, one of the dogs who starred in the famous James Bond sketch at the 2012 London Olympics has died age 13.
The pup had been suffering from a number of painful complications related to old age, and it was decided the animal should be put down.
She died at Balmoral last week, and is survived by the Queen’s remaining dogs, a corgi named Willow and two corgi-dachshund crosses Vulcan and Candy.
A spokesperson from Buckingham Palace said the pet’s passing was a “private matter”.
Sources told the Daily Mail, “The Queen was deeply upset but she doesn’t like seeing her dogs suffer.

“Holly had reached a very good age,” the source continued.
“She gets more unsettled if they are distressed and knows that putting a dog down is often the kindest solution.
“She was devoted to Holly and wherever the Queen was, the dog was never far behind.”
