Crown Princess Mary has officially moved with her young children to Switzerland for three months – and they’re already embracing the wintry culture in all its glory.
The Danish royal family have relocated to the beautiful European country so that Mary and husband Crown Prince Frederik’s four children, Prince Christian, 14, Princess Isabella, 12, and eight-year-old twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine can attend boarding school for three months.

(Getty)The interesting move has come in an effort to provide the children with an international experience – they usually attend Tranegårdsskolen school, which is located in Gentofte, Denmark.
The new Swiss school, named Lemania-Verbier International School will host the royal kids for its 12-week spring term, and Mary will be by their side for the duration of it.
Prince Frederik meanwhile will stay in Denmark to continue his royal duties, though he intends to visit whenever he can.
To mark their arrival in Switzerland this week, royal watchers were treated to a wintry spectacle, with the royal family posing for a snowy photo call in the Swiss mountains.
In the gorgeous images, the young children are seen wearing their school attire, with Mary’s two girls wearing pleated grey skirts, while the boys wore long tailored trousers.
Given the rather chilly climate, it wasn’t a surprise to see the children add some rather cosy looking snow boots to their ensembles.

In the images, Crown Princess Mary is also seen looking chic in a grey winter coat and jeans. She left her hair in loose waves and added lined winter snow boots to finish the ensemble.
In the caption of the image, the Danish royal household explained how the royals wished for their children to have an “international experience” by attending the Swiss school.
Mary will stay with her young children in Switzerland while Frederik will visit whenever his schedule allows.

In a heartfelt letter to Prime Minister Scott Morrison, the former Tasmanian shared her deep anguish for her original home country.
“When the immediate crisis subsides and people can begin to return from where they have fled, our thoughts and concerns will remain with the affected local communities, as it will undoubtedly take great efforts and time for them to rebuild what has been lost,” she wrote.
“The courage and unyielding efforts of the volunteer firefighters have our deepest respect and admiration.”
She added that she was “proud” of her Australian heritage, and she retained a strong sense of pride to see communities “‘never giving up’ in the face of such devastation and adversity.”
The Crown Princess’ stay in Switzerland will also be beneficial in strengthening ties between Denmark and the European country.
And as for her young children, while we’re sure they’ll revel in experiencing a new schooling culture, it will no doubt be somewhat comforting to know that their mum isn’t far away.
