You can take the girl out of Aussie, but you can’t take Aussie out of the girl – Crown Princess Mary is case in point.
The Danish royal was offered a can of Carlsberg at an event during UN Week in New York City on Tuesday, and the poised Princess took it in her stride.

The former Tassie local can appreciate a good brew. Earlier this month, she joined Minister for Environment and Food Jakob Elleman-Jensen of Denmark in tasting beer at the New Nordic Food event in Helsinki.
Going to open the can, the former Tasmanian local gave a humorous grimace before cracking open the lid and toasting it.
The event was to highlight Denmark’s achievements in sustainability, with Carlsberg being one of the country’s biggest exporters.
Crown Princess Mary was in attendance at the 2018 Concordia Annual Summit in New York City.
The 46-year-old is passionate about sustainability, previously speaking about her desire to find a holistic approach in considering social, environmental and economic aspects.
Speaking to Vogue in 2016, the Danish Princess said: “It will require a continuous effort and patience, and strong and authentic leadership: it takes time to create real and sustainable change.”
There have been murmurs that the Princess will be Queen of Denmark by the end of the year – an historical milestone for Australia, making her the nation’s first Queen.

Princess Mary and husband Crown Prince Frederik have four children together aged between seven and 12.
Mary said of the moment she famously first met her future husband in a Sydney bar: “Something clicked. It wasn’t the fireworks in the sky or anything like that but there was a sense of excitement.”
Mary and Frederik married in 2004.
Princess Mary was set to return to her homeland in October for the Invictus Games, however a spokesperson from the Danish Palace confirmed to The Weekly that the Crown Princess would not be coming.
Either way, the games still promise an exciting line up of visitors – Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry will be flying to Australia on October 17.
In addition, it has been reported family friend and Games ambassador, David Beckham will also be in attendance. It’s unconfirmed if Victoria will also fly with her husband.
