Princess Eugenie is already the proud mother to three-month-old son August but now the royal is relishing in an exciting upcoming new role – that of aunt!
In the wake of her older sister Princess Beatrice announcing she’s expecting her first child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi this week, the 31-year-old has taken to social media to congratulate the soon to-be parents on their baby news.
Hinging on the fact it was World Bee Day while revealing Bea is her sweet nickname for her older sister, Eugenie shared two never-before-seen photos of Beatrice and Edoardo to accompany her touching message.
“It’s World Bee Day!! 🐝🐝 A day to celebrate nature’s most badass little friend with their black and yellow stripes,” she began.
“But our furry little friends have to share today with my big sis Bea (🐝) who’s got a little one on the way. Beabea and Edo huge congratulations on your news – can’t wait to meet the little one #worldbeeday #savethebees,” she concluded.

Property developer Edo was quick to react to his sister-in-law’s gushing tribute, writing: “Thank you. So thrilled our little family is growing ❤️.”
Princess Beatrice’s pregnancy news was shared via an official statement from the Palace this week, which read: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year.”

The news was reshared via the Palace’s official Instagram account, alongside one of the beautiful images from the pair’s 2020 wedding.
This marks an exciting new chapter for the pair. Beatrice, 32, is also a step-mum to Edo’s first son, Wolfie, four, whom he shares with his previous wife.
The royal has previously spoken about becoming a parent-figure to Wolfie, telling the Evening Standard: “This year, I had the great honour to become a stepmother, and have had the most remarkable time going back over some of my most favourite stories at bedtime.”
Princess Eugenie welcomed her first child – a son called August – in February this year.
