In case you’ve decided to take a nap and have subsequently missed the most exciting news…
Overnight, the Cambridges released a darling new royal portrait of Princess Charlotte to celebrate her second birthday.
The only daughter of Kate and William looked cherub sweet.
She marked the milestone of entering her “terrible twos” by posing for a snap – which was taken then none other than the shutterbug Duchess!
Kensington Palace announced, “The Duke and Duchess are delighted to share a new photograph of Princess Charlotte to mark her second birthday tomorrow.”
“The photograph was taken in April by The Duchess at their home in Norfolk.”
“The Duke and Duchess are very pleased to share this photograph as they celebrate Princess Charlotte’s second birthday.”
“Their Royal Highnesses would like to thank everyone for all of the lovely messages they have received, and hope that everyone enjoys this photograph of Princess Charlotte as much as they do.”
While many royal fans noted how much the darling brunette reminded them of her famous parents, soon attention was drawn to that oh-so cute outfit.
Standing in front of a bale of hay (yes, the Duke and Duchess casually have bales of hay at their home… a discussing for another time) the little Princess, with a bemused look on her face, donned a very cute knitted jumper.
The cardigan is a John Lewis and while the yellow may be sold out, the pink version is still available for only £10.00 (about $17).
No word on where little Charlotte got her blue bow, but we’re guessing we’ll see something similar pop up soon at Aussie Bow princess – Pixie Cutis’ store.
Ever since the world welcomed Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana on May 2 back in 2015, she has been a driving influence with children’s fashion – with her choices selling out instantly.
Last year we were spoiled for choice when Catherine shared four snaps of her little one to celebrate Charlotte turning one.
The pint-sized princess donned two ridiculously cute outfits for the photos. First, a blue dress, made by Spanish label m&h, which was paired with a matching bow and cream cashmere cardigan from Olivier Baby, and second, a pink, collard floral tunic.
