Speaking to Paris Match, Charlene said: “I’m a little tired but we’re all very well thank you…. They are growing every day, gaining weight.”
Charlene and her husband of three years, Prince Albert welcomed a little girl, Gabriella Thérèse Marie, and little boy, Jacques Honoré Rainier, last week. The babies were born by caesarean section in Princess Grace Hospital – named after their late grandmother.
“At first, I was happy to hear their first cries. I was obviously a bit overwhelmed with emotion. Every second with them is magical. I look forward to spending more time in their presence”, said Charlene.
“Watching them grow is wonderful. It changes lives forever.”
Charlene added: “That they are both very active and very expressive. They are beautiful, adorable, I’m crazy in love with them.”
A statement released from the palace last week read that “The Prince Jacques Honoré Rainier is the Crown Prince.
“In accordance with the historic custom established by the treaty of Péronne (1641), He shall receive the title of Marquis of Baux (in Provence).
“The Princess Gabriella Thérèse Marie, second child in the line of succession, shall receive the title of Countess of Carladès (in Auvergne).”
A former South African Olympic swimmer, Charlene, 36, married Prince Albert, 56, in 2011.
