Princess Beatrice and Meghan Markle just wore matching skirts and we can’t decide who wore it better

They each gave it their own stylish twist.

Let’s be honest – if we ever had access to Meghan Markle’s wardrobe, we’d be there in a heartbeat.

Indeed, the stylish Duchess has fast become an international fashion influencer, and it looks like even those within the royal fold are taking cues.

Princess Beatrice, who is normally known for paving her own path when it comes to clothing (those wedding hats, anyone?), is the latest to fall prey to the Duchess of Sussex’s flawless eye for style, and we have to admit – she looks great.

As she landed in LA on Monday, Bea’s pleated black midi skirt was rather familiar to royal fans, who recognised it as the exact same style worn by Meghan back in September.

But the Princess’s overall look was far more street-style, as Meghan smartened up the skirt for a formal engagement – her charity cookbook launch.

And while Duchess Meghan looks incredible in just about anything, we think the two royals are evenly matched if we were to decide who wore it better.

Pairing it with a black bomber and plain white tee with some printed flats, Bea looked cool and chic.

Meghan on the other hand looked elegant and ladylike as she paired it with a long blue overcoat and black top with heels.

Talk about a versatile skirt!

This isn’t the only time the royals have accidentally twinned. Earlier in the year, avid royal watchers believed Kate Middleton and Meghan wore identical navy pumps to a Commonwealth Day church service.

After investigating, it turned out the shoes were by different designers, but you can’t deny they were very similar!

And even the men can’t seem to deny Meghan’s style! Husband Prince Harry and the Duchess shared a subtle twinning moment while on their recent royal tour of Australia, New Zealand and Fiji recently when they both sported button-down shirts from the same label – Frank & Eileen.

The shirts themselves even have their own gender-specific names: Meghan’s white Italian linen shirt was called the ‘Eileen’ while Harry’s black Italian cotton shirt was named ‘Luke’.

And while it’s clear the royals love a good twinning moment, there’s also something to be said for taking style cues from, well, themselves.

By that we mean Kate Middleton – the queen of recycled fashion. The Duchess of Cambridge has fast made a name for herself choosing to re-wear multiple styles that she’s donned in the past.

Recently, Kate wore an eye catching recycled blue dress to a charity event, but it wasn’t the flattering style that had people talking – it was the length of time that has passed since she last wore it that really had heads spinning.

In fact, a whole six years had passed since Kate last wore the dress to an event marking the countdown to the Olympic Games in London in 2012. We want whatever the Duchess is having!
