It is understood Beatrice and Edoardo began dating in mid-late 2018, having struck up a relationship around September ahead of younger sister Princess Eugenie’s royal wedding in October.

It seemed the pair recognised they were the real deal from the get-go. He was introduced to Beatrice’s parents Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew quickly, and the pair enjoyed a private holiday within the first few months of becoming official.

At the time they first met, a source told The Sun: “Things are moving very quickly and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if they got engaged within a short period of time.”

It seems they certainly were onto something!

It is also understood Beatrice met Edoardo via a mutual friend, and the pair reportedly “hit it off instantly and have a real laugh together”.

In March 2019, the couple made their first official outing as a couple on the red carpet at the annual Portrait Gala in London.

The pair looked every bit the glamorous couple they are, with Beatrice wearing a gorgeous red velvet dress and the very dapper Edoardo wearing a black tuxedo.

The very public moment for the pair marked a string of joint appearances to follow.

In May, the pair attended cousin Gabriella Windsor’s royal wedding at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

There, they were pictured together alongside Beatrice’s mum Sarah Ferguson. This was ample proof to show Beatrice’s beau was already getting comfortable in the royal fold.

In July, the couple sent hearts racing when Beatrice was spotted with a gorgeous new piece of jewellery that appeared to hold a very sentimental meaning.

The pair, who were having a date night together, were seen looking very loved-up as they visited Annabel’s Member’s Club in Mayfair.

But it was Beatrice’s shiny new gold bangle that commanded our attention – the letter ‘E’ was engraved on it.

Was this the foreshadowing moment to precede the big engagement announcement?

Close up photos obtained by Hello! showed the bangle had a small letter ‘E’ engraved on it.

In August, editor of Majesty magazine Ingrid Seward told Hello! that Beatrice and Edoardo were going to get married as early as the next British spring or summer.

“They’re going to get married – I was told by a member of the family.”

“I think a wedding as early as next spring or summer is likely.”

Well, it looks like her claims had merit, and we couldn’t be happier for it!

Edoardo, also known as “Edo” is a multi-millionaire property developer, according to The Sun.

He is in his mid-30s, and has a son named Wolfie, who is around three years old.

It is believed Beatrice and Mozzi have been in the same circles for some time. Town and Country reports the pair both attended the same wedding back in 2014 in Italy.

His stepfather was also known British political operative Christopher Shale.

Shale, who sadly passed away at famed British music festival Glastonbury 2011, was believed to be a friend of both Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

Edo later co-founded a charity inspired by his late stepfather. The charity, Cricket Builds Hope, supports and teaches Rwandans how to play cricket.

It seems the savvy businessman and social entrepreneur is a perfect fit for Beatrice.
