The Duke of Cambridge spoke to Forde at Windsor Castle about his daughter while awarding him with an MBE on Tuesday.

Fatherhood was the top of discussion between the two, with Forde telling People he “congratulated [Prince William] on Charlotte and we spent a little time talking, as my son Jermaine’s about to have a little one. So he congratulated me too.”

The second-in-line to the throne also revealed his musical talents to the reggae star, telling Forde he’s “handy on the bass.”

“So you never know – we may have him playing bass soon,” Forde told People of his band, Aswad.
