Many parents would remember the moment their kids first understood the magic of Christmas, and for Prince William that moment is now!

In a new interview, William, 33, admits his 2-year-old son now knows about the holidays and is as excited as any other child.

“George will be bouncing around like a rabbit,” the second-in-line to the throne told the British edition of The Big Issue. “I think George will be extremely bouncy this year because he’s suddenly worked out what Christmas is all about … If I get any sleep on Christmas Eve it’ll be good.”

While young George will be one excited tyke, the dad-of-two expects his youngest to be much more reserved over the festive break.

That will be two children, one who suddenly appreciates Christmas, which could be quite challenging. But I’m looking forward to it.”

We can just imagine how cheeky and adorable young George will be on Christmas day!

Following in his mother, Princess Diana’s footsteps, Prince William is a patron of homelessness charity Centrepoint.

Diana was passionate about the cause and regularly took her boys William and Harry on late-night missions to meet homeless people on the streets of London.

“I think it goes back to when my mother first took the [patron’s] role when I was a small boy. I was very struck by the people I met and what they were struggling with – sleeping rough, sofa surfing, not having basic comforts a lot of us take for granted,” Duchess Catherine’s husband recalled.

William gave the interview, fulfilling a promise he made to Sophia Kichou, now 24.

They first met at a Centrepointhostel several years ago, after her mother had died when she was 18, and she found herself homeless in London.

At the time, she told him she wanted to be a reporter and he said he would give her an interview.

“He is obviously a prince who keeps his promise. He said he would give me an interview and he did,” she quipped after the Big Issue interview.

“At the beginning, I was a little nervous but as the interview went on, my nerves calmed down and I began to enjoy it. I am very grateful to everyone who helped make this happen.”

Adding, “interviewing Prince William was a very significant moment in my career.”

Always keeps his word! William promised Sophie years ago that she could interview him.

The young family of four are expected to host Christmas at Anmer Hall along with the Middletons. During the interview, William spoke about how he, Catherine, George and Charlotte will celebrate the silly season.

“We’ll go to church as a family on Christmas Day, as we always do. Then we’ll watch George try to tackle his presents as he tries to unwrap them!”

Adding, “It’s a very different experience at Christmas, having a family of your own.”

For the Prince who has it all, what does William want for Christmas?
