That’s hero Prince William to the rescue!
Duchess Catherine looked rather worried as her hubby had to step in to provide assistance to a man who took a tumble during their latest royal visit.
According to the Daily Mail, the man, a 72-year-old Vice Lord Lieutenant Jonathan Douglas-Hughes, had been readying to welcome the royal pair when he ran into a bollard and toppled over.
William was quick to react, flying into action to help the elderly gentleman up after he fell while Catherine looked on.
Jonathan was reportedly rather embarrassed about the incident, turning to the Duke and saying “Sorry about that.”
Ever the gentleman, Prince William assured him it was OK, “No, it’s all right!” he said.
Duchess Catherine and Prince William had been visiting Stewards Academy in Essex to talk to youths about coping with difficult issues.
The visit was part of their highly publicized Heads Together mental health campaign.
While at the school, the royals took the chance to share their feelings and a few jokes with other students.
Wills admitted despite being a father of two, he too can act like a kid!
“Sometimes I still feel like I am 16, to be honest sometimes I still act like I am 16.”
Kate loved that, wholeheartedly agreeing: “I still think you’re 16!”
Prince William had a little laugh at that, saying to parents, “Yes Catherine often tells me that.”
He also confessed to students that he wasn’t great at school. “Do you really like it? I was always dreadful at it at school. We should swap places – I can come back to school and you can do my job.”
Prince William later spoke about the events of the day in a meaningful blog post.
“Catherine and I have young children who will be going through this themselves in a short period of time, and like all parents we will want to make sure that our children are not just able to achieve their academic potential at school but are also happy and emotionally.”
