When you see someone coming towards you that you’d just rather not speak to, it’s a natural reaction to scramble to look busy and avoid eye-contact at all costs – and Prince William appears to be a seasoned-pro.
Eagle-eyed royal fans have noticed a telling moment between Wills and Meghan Markle as they stepped outside of St Mary Magdalene Church at Sandringham on Christmas Day, where the fab four attended a service.
In the video footage, Wills, who for a moment walked alongside Meghan, is seen adjusting his scarf with some enthusiasm and looking at everything but his sister-in-law. Awkward?
Indeed the Prince’s scarf-adjusting display has a number of royal fans speculating that the rumoured royal feud might well be more tense between Meghan and Wills, as opposed to Meghan and Kate.
One fan wrote on Twitter: “It’s sad William ignored Meghan’s chatter as it looked like she said something to him.”
While another said: “William: ‘Let me look busy’. Meghan: “Wtf… nevermind.”

The interesting interaction between the two comes after reports that the Queen ordered Meghan and Kate to call a truce for Christmas Day.
With all eyes on the famous sisters-in-law, the Queen was reported to have taken action on the rumoured rift between the pair, with a source telling The Sun that the Queen and Prince Philip “both made it clear that Christmas was for the whole family to really come together”.
“That meant the two couples walking into church together as the Fab Four just like they had last year. Yes, it was awkward and uncomfortable given what’s gone on over the past 12 months.”

And it was patently clear the pair were seemingly on good terms, with Meghan even offering a hand to help Kate down the Church steps – another moment seen and speculated about by royal fans.
UK body expert Judi James said Kate was clearly making a “supreme effort” to look at ease with Meghan.
“Meghan clung to Harry’s arm at first. But instead of sticking beside William, Kate deliberately stepped away to walk close to her sister-in-law.”
Judi James was also quoted as saying that the couples were “trying too hard” to play at happy families.

The Christmas Day display comes after multiple reports of the Meghan being at loggerheads with Kate, and indeed a number of others within the royal fold.
In November, the UK’s Telegraph reported Kate was left “in tears” following a tense bridesmaid dress fitting with Meghan for her daughter Princess Charlotte ahead of Meghan and Harry’s wedding in May.
At the same time this report surfaced, it was also revealed no less than three of Meghan and Harry’s royal aides had quit.
One notable exit was Meghan’s newest recruit, a personal assistant named Melissa, whose seemingly glamorous gig must have had its flaws.
“It’s a real shock. Why would she want to leave such a prestigious job so soon?” An insider told the Daily Mail.
