Prince William reportedly had to have secret emergency dental surgery after one of his front teeth was knocked out at a posh society wedding.
The Prince is famous for his toothy smile, but according to the Daily Mail, he very nearly lost it at the wedding of Tom van Straubenzee and Lady Melissa Percy in the North of England in June last year.
Apparently Wills was busy “tearing it up on the dancefloor” at the wedding when his mate Tom Inskip accidentally struck him in the face. The two of them were apparently fooling around and we’re sure that William’s posh pal, known affectionately as “Skippy”, felt terrible after nearly all of the Prince’s front tooth was knocked out.
William then had to be rushed to an emergency dentist to have the damage repaired before he could return home to London to be with his wife Catherine who was expecting at the time.
The emergency dental surgery had been kept secret from the public – but it might not have been the case had a very pregnant Catherine had the baby that same night!
William’s toothy smiling very nearly went missing after fooling around on the dancefloor with his posh pal Tom Inskip (right).
“William was joking that if Kate went into labour that night, he’d have to smile for the cameras with a missing tooth,” said a source who was in attendance at the wedding to the Daily Mail.
A second source added: “William made sure the tooth was repaired because he was worried Kate was going to go completely spare.”
We’re glad that William got his grin back in time smile with his newborn – baby Prince George! We’re sure he’ll be grinning again when George’s little brother or sister comes into the world next year.
