Prince William has been called a motorcycle fan in the past, but his wife, Duchess Catherine, is said to be less so.
Triple World Superbike champion Jonathan Rea told Hello Magazine in November that he had a chance to chat motorbikes with the Prince following his MBE ceremony at a Buckingham Palace.
“I know he’s a bit of a motorcycle fan himself,” Rea said.
“We talked about his bikes and the fact that he has put it on the back-burner a little bit because of his children now.”
In 2012, the father of 2 (soon to be 3) couldn’t help himself during a Royal visit to the famous UK Triumph Motorcycle headquarters.
Kensington Palace tweeted pictures from the visit and even from afar you can see the glee on his face.
After touring the headquarters, the Prince took a spin on the Triumph Tiger 1200 and looked right at home despite his formal royal attire including slacks and suede shoes.
He then took a spin an Aston Martin around a High Speed Track and experienced the Wet Handling Circuit.
We hope Kate wasn’t watching! Seeing your partner on a motorbike or on a High-Speed Track is nailbiting experience, and pregnant Kate does not need that kind of stress right now.
Kensington Palace also shared a picture a commemorative fuel tank gifted to the His Royal Highness to mark his visit to UK Triumph headquarters.
Yep, Prince William is not like a regular dad; he’s a cool dad.
Sorry, Kate!
