“The excitement of the event and everything else was just chaos. You are suddenly… well actually it’s a boy. So now, it’s good. It’s going to be interesting next year. A busy year next year.”

President Obama invited Prince William to the Whitehouse to thank him for his “hospitality” which was shown to him by the royal family during his recent trip to the UK.

Meanwhile, Duchess Catherine spent her first day with New York’s first lady Chirlane McGray on a tour of the Harlem Child Development Centre.

William and Catherine arrived in New York on Sunday and are staying at the legendary Carlyle Hotel, the same hotel William’s mother Princess Diana stayed at during her visit to New York in 1997.
