The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are planning for a second child very soon, a royal source has told the UK’s Daily Star newspaper, adding to already swirling rumours about Kate’s pregnancy plans.

The source says that William and Kate are desperate for Prince George to have a little brother or sister. “They have made no secret of the fact they’d like three children and don’t see any point in waiting.”

“Kate’s just turned 32 and wants all her babies over and done with before she is 35.”

The Royal couple already have a second nursery in Kensington Palace and the recent hiring of a full-time nanny appears to be another clue that the family will soon be expanding.

Prince George is only seven months old, but it is speculated that Kate will emulate her mother, who fell pregnant with her sister, Pippa, just 11 months after Kate was born.

Doctors have reportedly advised the Duchess that she needs to gain weight, having shed a lot since the birth of her first child in July last year.
