On Monday, Kensington Palace confirmed the Duke of Sussex is set to make a solo royal tour to Zambia on behalf of his grandmother The Queen and her charity, the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust.

“The Duke of Sussex will visit Zambia on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th November, at the request of the Foreign Office,” the statement read.

While the two-day tour is marginally much smaller compared to the 16-day tour Harry’s just returned from, the 34-year-old will have his work cut out for him with a packed schedule of commitments.

“As part of the visit The Duke will attend a @UKinZambia reception to celebrate UK-Zambia relations, and will visit Burma Barracks to attend an event commemorating WWI and WWII Zambian veterans,” the palace explained.

During Meghan’s first major international tour, fans were blown away by her boundless energy as she fulfilled an intense agenda of engagements. The Duchess only opted out of a handful of appearances to rest.

This upcoming tour means Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will spend the first anniversary of their engagement apart.

November 27th this month will officially mark a year since Kensington Palace confirmed Prince Harry had proposed to Duchess Meghan, however the actual date Harry dropped a knee was earlier in November so perhaps they’ll be celebrating before he jets out.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry has had a long love affair and affiliation for Africa and has travelled to the continent many times over the years for personal and charitable trips.

In June, Prince Harry managed to sneak under the radar for a very important charity mission.

Prince Harry has a long affiliation with Africa. In 2006, he launched Sentebale with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho.

Leaving his new wife at home, the Duke of Sussex visited Lesotho in southern Africa to pay a visit to his beloved charity Sentebale.

Prince Harry co-founded Sentebale, which means “forget me not” in Sesotho, in 2006 with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho.

The organisation helps improve the lives of children and youth living with HIV/AIDS in Africa.

For the Prince, he says the inspiration in setting up Sentebale came from carrying on his mother Princess Diana’s legacy.

“I want to do something really constructive with my life. I want to do something that makes my mother proud. My mother stood for something. There’s a lot of unfinished business and a lot of work that my mother never completed,” Harry explained last year in a documentary called Prince Harry In Africa.
